Music alone shall live. It is hard for us not to fall in love with music. It is soothing and it greatly touches our soul. This program intends to bring youth and adults with blindness and vision loss from across Vancouver Island to experience many benefits for the mind, body, and soul that community and singing can bring. We are thrilled to welcome Marcelina Stanton as the musical director. She is a Latin American musician who loves to perform popular and traditional songs and play guitar. No prior singing experience is necessary. Everyone is welcome and if you play an instrument, you are invited to bring it along. The Victoria Community Choir meets at CNIB Victoria every Friday from 2 to 4 p.m.

We're hosting a special Young Adult Virtual Pub Night and the chances that you're going to have a great time are high! The Youth Transition Introductory Series will focus on career and education-based skill-building for those aged 15-30. We'll explore topics like navigating post-secondary, disclosing sight loss, gaming and music, and more. The CNIB Youth Transition Introductory Series is a hybrid, either in-person at the Victoria and New Westminster offices or virtually via Zoom.

The CNIB Research Co-Design Festival is a dynamic event that brings researchers and the disability community together to collaborate and make change. Community engagement in research is essential to ensure necessary perspectives when developing policy recommendations and shaping inclusive design. In Session 102: Accessibility and Inclusion Competencies, we will explore the project "Accessibility and Inclusion Competencies" and the importance of establishing a competency framework for accessibility and inclusion in the workplace.

Community engagement in research is essential to ensure necessary perspectives when developing policy recommendations and shaping inclusive design. In Session 101: Citizen Personas Accessible AI, the team presents descriptions of various personas, including some accessibility needs and challenges faced. A brainstorming activity is held with the group to continue adding to the list of accessibility needs and potential challenges.
