Do you know your rights when travelling with a guide dog? Join us to learn about the rights and protections available to guide dog handlers when travelling with federally regulated transportation providers in Canada, including airlines, railways, ferries, and interprovincial transportation.
We'll discuss what transportation providers are required to do, what you can expect when travelling with your guide dog, and what steps you can take if you experience an access barrier or denial.
You'll also learn where and how to raise concerns or make a complaint.
Knowing your rights is an important part of advocating for yourself and helping create more accessible transportation for guide dog handlers across Canada.
The Federally Regulated Transportation Know Your Rights workshop meets on Tuesday, September 22 from 12 to 1:30 p.m. Eastern Time on Zoom. Zoom information will be shared after registering.
