We aim to work on many of the core components of fitness, specifically cardiorespiratory endurance, flexibility, muscular endurance, and muscle control. This program is inspired by feedback from parents, guardians, and students regarding their exhaustion from continually self-advocating within the school system. The BC-Yukon Family Advocacy Group meets on the second Thursday of every month from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. PT on Zoom.

The Voices for Independence program is designed to support children and adults who are blind or have low vision, aged 40 years and younger, in building confidence and independence through accessible voice technology. The program aims to increase independence, digital literacy, and community connection among children and adults with sight loss through accessible voice technology training. Each participant receives their own device at no cost, along with structured training and ongoing support. If you are an aspiring young artist Toronto Hub Art Saturdays will be a fun way to learn some art skills and hang out with CNIB friends. CNIB staff and volunteers will be on site to supervise the shared space from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and for the most part participants are invited to work independently. There will be two one-hour sessions during the day where you can receive instruction and feedback from an adult artist. The rest of your time can be devoted to working on the project of your choice and connecting with other young artists. Charles Bonnet Syndrome (CBS) is a reaction to vision loss by the brain, which attempts to replace lost information by drawing from your own memory and various visual centers. CBS occurs in people with significant vision loss, leading to visual hallucinations. This program aims to offer comprehensive information and support for individuals experiencing CBS and their caregivers. It provides a safe space for participants to share their experiences comfortably, build confidence, and help one another cope with the effects of CBS. Third Wednesday of every month from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Pacific Time on Zoom.

Guest speakers are occasionally invited to present on different topics. This peer support group meets on the third Wednesday of every month from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.at the Rotary Centre for the Arts. This program is also available over Zoom.
