ReForest London is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to preserving, and expanding urban forests in London and surrounding areas. Join CNIB for a tour of ReForest London's property at the Westminster Ponds Centre to learn about native trees, and the benefits of nature and green spaces.
This two hour event will entail a guided walk through some of the trail network at the Westminster Ponds Environmentally Significant Area, as well as a hands-on seed sowing activity where participants will get to plant the seeds that will grow into trees at our nursery, and eventually be planted throughout the city. The trails can be muddy at this time of year, so appropriate footwear is recommended.
The site is located behind Parkwood Hospital, at 944 Western Counties Rd. Accessible washrooms and water bottle refill station available a short walk away at the office building.
Important Information:
- If you have nut allergies, please let us know as some seeds may be off limits and we want to ensure your safety.
- We will not be providing sighted guides for this adventure, so we encourage you to register your family or friend who will act as your guide, if you need one.
- Youth under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent
We hope you'll join us at ReForest London on Saturday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at ReForest London (944 Western Counties Road, London).
