What can you do if you and your guide dog are denied access in Ontario?
Join us to learn more about Ontario’s Blind Persons’ Rights Act and how it protects the rights of guide dog handlers.
We’ll explore where the Act applies, what it means for guide dog access, and how handlers can use the legislation to advocate for themselves when they encounter an access denial. The session will also walk through practical steps you can take following an access denial, including documenting what happened, reporting the incident, and understanding the enforcement process.
Whether you’re a guide dog handler or want to better understand guide dog access rights in Ontario, this session will help you feel more informed and prepared to respond when barriers occur.
The Ontario's Blind Persons' Rights Act Enforcement Changes workshop meets on Thursday, September 24 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Eastern Time on Zoom. Zoom information will be shared after registering.
