The Census of Population is taking place in May 2026. Data from the census are essential for all levels of governments, as well as businesses, community groups and organizations. Completing the census is a legal requirement for all residents of Canada. All residents of Canada are required to complete the census questionnaire, according to the Statistics Act.
CNIB is partnering with Statistics Canada to host two information sessions about completing the 2026 Census. The information sessions will be delivered by Statistics Canada and cover information about accessible options to complete the 2026 Census, as well as how to access assistance, request alternate formats, and more.
- Session 1: Friday, May 22 at 5:30 p.m. EDT. Register for Session #1.
- Session 2: Monday, May 25 at 8:30 p.m. EDT. Register for Session #2.
