In addition to the practical legal information handbooks, the Know Your Rights – Alberta team has produced a series of educational videos that will help you better understand your rights.

Gunjan's Story: Know Your Rights – Requesting a reasonable accommodation at a restaurant

Gunjan visits a restaurant and asks a staff member for assistance. Instead of receiving the support she needs, her request is met with skepticism and staff who lack the awareness and training to properly accommodate her. Watch and learn how this situation could have been different.  

Noel’s Story: Know Your Rights – Requesting information in an accessible format

When Noel asks his financial institution for mortgage paperwork in an accessible format he is told that it's not possible. Watch this video to learn about Noel's rights and how he should have been accommodated.

Taylor's Story: Know Your Rights – It's not okay to ask for "proof"

Upon entering an office building, Taylor is stopped by a security guard and asked for proof that her guide dog is a certified service animal. Watch and learn how Taylor should have been better accommodated by the security guard and learn more about her rights as a guide dog handler.
