The Calgary Music Group is open to individuals over the age of 18 who are interested in participating and learning in a musical group setting. The main focus of the group is to work together on various songs with the goals of increasing knowledge, participation and enjoyment of music. From enhancing education and entertainment to improving security, AI's potential is limitless. Tuesday, February 24 from 4 to 5 p.m. Pacific Time on Zoom.
SCORE (Skills, Confidence & Opportunities through Recreation & Education) is a fun, skills-based summer experience for youth who are blind or have low vision. Participants build confidence, independence, and teamwork skills through hands-on activities, workshops, and outdoor fun while connecting with peers and mentors from across the country. To learn more about the SCORE program and application process, families are encouraged to attend a virtual information session.
Adjustment to Sight Loss (A2SL) is a 7-week virtual series where participants connect with others who are either new to sight loss or who have been living with it for some time and are now coming to terms with it. Hosted by Laura Bain and Natalie Fougere, these sessions will cover topics including mental health and sight loss, communication, advocacy, and independent living skills. The Adjustment to Sight Loss program is designed to give participants “tools for their toolbelt” as they continue their personal journey.
