Music has a unique way of touching the heart and bringing people together. Its rhythms and melodies can be soothing, uplifting, and deeply nourishing for the soul!
The CNIB Harmony Choir Program invites youth and adults who are blind or partially sighted from across Vancouver Island to experience the joy, connection, and personal expression that singing in community can offer. This welcoming and inclusive choir creates a space where participants can come together to share their voices, build confidence, and enjoy the many benefits of music for the mind, body, and spirit. Through group singing, participants may experience a sense of belonging, emotional well being, and the joy of being part of a collective creative experience.
We are delighted to welcome Marcelina Stanton as the Harmony Choir’s Musical Director. Marcelina is a Latin American musician with a passion for performing and teaching popular and traditional songs. She accompanies the choir on guitar and brings warmth, enthusiasm, and cultural richness to each session.
No previous singing experience is required — all voices are welcome. Participants who play an instrument are also encouraged to bring it along and join in making music together.
CNIB Harmony Choir meets every Friday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at CNIB Victoria (1675 Douglas Street – Suite 102 , Victoria).
Please be advised that you must register for all programs. We kindly ask you to RSVP a minimum of 1 full business day before the start of the program.
