Sight Loss Connect will be a relaxed, welcoming session to meet others with sight loss, and share experiences. This one-time session introduces peer support in a friendly, low-pressure space. Your input will help decide if we launch a monthly group!

Sight Loss Connect meets on Saturday, May 2 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the CNIB London Community Hub.

Please be advised that you must register for all programs. We kindly ask you to RSVP a minimum of 1 full business day before the start of the program.

Maritimes Adjusting To Sight Loss Group – Winter Series
Adjustment to Sight Loss (A2SL) is a 7-week virtual series where participants connect with others who are either new to sight loss or who have been living with it for some time and are now coming to terms with it. Hosted by Laura Bain and Natalie Fougere, these sessions will cover topics including mental health and sight loss, communication, advocacy, and independent living skills.  The Adjustment to Sight Loss  program is designed to give participants “tools for their toolbelt” as they continue their personal journey.

You'll be encouraged to sing, play instruments, participate in breathing exercises and move your body or tap your feet to the music. Percussion instruments will be made available and we encourage you to bring your instrument of choice, should you have one. Bring your song suggestions, make some new friends and learn something new, every month! Fourth Wednesday of every month from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the CNIB Ottawa Community Hub.

Accessible Technology Training – Thunder Bay
Thunder Bay
CNIB SmartLife Coach, Sara Salo, and technology volunteers are here to help participants get familiarized with SmartLife Assistive Technology, to assist with making smartphones and tablets more accessible and to recommend and offer demos on accessibility apps. Online training is also available upon request. Appointments are available Tuesday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at CNIB Thunder Bay.
