This past August we held our Peel STEM Camp at Hazel McCallion Library and we had a lot of fun learning some new skills. In an effort to keep the ball rolling, we are starting a STEM Club to be offered out of Hazel McCallion and we’ll continue with our Code Jumper training, AI skills development and experiences with 3-D printed materials.

CNIB staff member Walter Dickinson will continue to facilitate the Code Jumper lessons with our amazing peer instructor Shrey Bhatt training us in all things AI. Shrey is the leader of a Clubs that Care group sponsored by Makers Making Change and Neil Squire. Program attendees can expect to have fun and try out his latest projects from the Makers catalogue of accessible devices.

As a special bonus every ninety-minute class will end with a trip to Tim Hortons on the first floor of the library building.

Peel STEM Saturdays (Ages 7 to 13) meets on Saturday, November 1, 15 & December 6 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Eastern Time at the Hazel McCallion Central Library  (301 Burnhamthorpe Road West, Mississauga).

Please be advised that you must register for all programs. We kindly ask you to RSVP a minimum of 1 full business day before the start of the program.

Registration required. To register, please contact Walter Dickinson, Program Lead, Creative Arts, CNIB Next Generation at walter.dickinson@cnib.ca or call 437-992-2247.
