Inclusive Momentum and CNIB would like to invite community members of all ages to attend a series of training workshops for solving the accessible Rubik’s Cube.
The classic Rubik’s Cube which entered popular culture in the early 1980’s with its 54 squares, and over 43 quintillion possible combinations relied on colour to differentiate its faces. The sensory or tactile cube has each unit within a face marked with a raised icon or shape. Users can read the cube with their fingers and rapidly manipulate it to solve the popular brain teaser.
Inclusive Momentum is a team of volunteers dedicated to taking workshop attendees step by step through the solving process over a period of up to 21 consecutive Sundays. Registrants will be provided a cube to practice with and a community of goal minded participants to share the experience and encourage one another. The ultimate goal of the group will be to participate in a Guinness World Record attempt on July 11, 2026. Inclusive Momentum will be teaming up with partners in other parts of Canada and Hong Kong to break the world record for the largest group of people solving the Rubik’s Cube blindfolded at the same time. By training with them, you can be one of these amazing record-setters! Please note space is limited, so be sure to sign up ASAP.
Attendees will meet in person for up to 21 weekly Sunday sessions (beginning January 18) from 2 to 4 p.m. Eastern Time at the CNIB GTA Community Hub (1525 Yonge Street, Toronto)
Please be advised that you must register for all programs. We kindly ask you to RSVP a minimum of 1 full business day before the start of the program.
