Join us for a lunch of sandwiches and salads and a discussion led by CNIB Nova Scotia’s SmartLife Assistant, Linda. For many, Linda is the first point of contact when they visit the CNIB Halifax office—but what led her to this role? We’ll learn about her journey from business owner to CNIB volunteer to the friendly voice and face that greets you when you come in the door. Linda will also share what it’s been like to go from never having closely interacted with anyone with sight loss to working daily with coworkers and clients who are blind and partially sighted. Plus, she’ll be bringing a homemade baked treat for everyone!
The CNIB Halifax Social meets on Thursday, January 29 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at CNIB Halifax.
