Blind Connections is a welcoming peer support group for individuals who are blind, partially sighted, or living with sight loss in Timmins and the surrounding area. The group offers a supportive and relaxed environment where participants can connect with others, build friendships, share lived experiences, and exchange tips and strategies for everyday living. Participants are encouraged to engage in open conversation, learn from one another, and discover helpful resources and community supports. From time to time, sessions may also include guest speakers or educational presentations based on participant interests. Blind Connections aims to foster confidence, independence, meaningful peer connections, and a strong sense of community.
Blind Connections meet on the first Thursday of every month from 3 to 4 p.m. Eastern in Timmins, Ontario. Location to be confirmed. Full details will be shared once available.
Please be advised that you must register for all programs. We kindly ask you to RSVP a minimum of 1 full business day before the start of the program.
