CNIB is advocating alongside community members across Saskatchewan to break down societal barriers to accessibility and create a more inclusive society for people living with sight loss.
The advocacy volunteers are people who are blind or partially sighted, their friends or family, or anyone who has a connection to the mission and wants to make a difference in their community. They are self-starters who can bring together community and drive local grassroots campaigns as well as support national advocacy issues in their region through collaborating with others. Together we work to create change through three commitments, Attitude is Everything, Safe and Accessible Journeys and Our Kids Will Thrive. This group actively works on CNIB local and national campaigns throughout the year. They believe change can happen through amplifying the voices of people who are blind or partially sighted in their community by making sure their concerns and issues are heard.
The Saskatchewan Advocacy Group meets on the second Wednesday of every month from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Central Time on Zoom. Zoom information will be shared after registering.
