Built Environment Handbook – Newfoundland and Labrador

After holding focus groups in Newfoundland and Labrador, CNIB created this legal information handbook to provide helpful responses to some of the most common questions we heard.

In the handbook below, you’ll find: 

  • An overview of your most important legal rights related to the built environment
  • Answers to common questions like 
    • “Temporary construction barriers are obstructing a sidewalk/building entrance that I commonly use.  I do not feel safe navigating through the construction site. What can I do?"
  • Links to helpful legal services and community supports
