Position Description
Join CNIB’s volunteer team! We’re looking for 10 compassionate and reliable Senior Techmates (55+) who are technologically savvy to work with seniors living with vision loss from January 2026 until March 2026.
In your residential area close to transit, you will be paired with a senior home resident to:
- Engage in friendly phone check-ins
- Provide one-to-one assessments and recommend appropriate assistive technology offered through CNIB
- Provide sighted and low vision real-world examples using assistive technologies (ie., iPhone and/or iPad)
Qualities, Skills and Training
Ideal candidates will be fluent in a second language: Farsi, Spanish, French, Hindi, or Simplified Chinese.
Training, equipment, and a certificate of completion will be provided.
