Newfoundland and Labrador

When Duane asks for assistance to navigate through an airport, he is told by an airline employee that there is only one form of accommodation available to him. Watch this video to learn about Duane’s rights and how he could have been accommodated.

Roger's Story:  Know Your Rights – Accommodations come in many different forms

Roger encounters various barriers while attempting to access a government service. Watch this video to learn about Roger’s rights and how he could have been accommodated.  

Prince Edward Island 

Aaron's Story:  Know Your Rights – Accommodations are not “special requests”

When Aaron asks his landlord for accommodations to ensure he can safely enter his apartment building, he is told by the landlord that she doesn’t have the “budget or the time” to deal with his “special request”. Nova Scotia

Shelley's Story:  Know Your Rights - Everyone has the right to transportation

Shelley is denied access to a taxi because she is accompanied by a guide dog. Although the taxi driver explains that he is allergic to dogs, he drives away and does nothing to accommodate her. Watch this video to learn about Shelley’s rights and how she could have been accommodated.
