HALIFAX - On September 16 and 17, CNIB Nova Scotia will host its second annual Over the Edge urban rappelling fundraising event – where adventurous individuals will rappel 13 breathtaking stories down The Westin Nova Scotian in support of CNIB’s programs and services.
For more than 100 years, CNIB has been empowering people impacted by blindness to live the lives they choose. Funds raised through Over the Edge will support CNIB’s specialized programs, services, and resources designed to help people living with sight loss overcome isolation and increase their confidence and skills.
The fundraising minimum for each Over the Edge rappeler is $750. A non-refundable $50 registration fee goes towards that total. Teams may choose to rappel together or back one rappeler in their fundraising goals. Interested participants can register here to support programs for Nova Scotians with sight loss or visit www.cnib.ca/OvertheEdge.
“Over the Edge is a thrilling opportunity where one gets to have the once-in-a-lifetime experience of rappelling down the Westin Nova Scotian, all while supporting blind and partially sighted Nova Scotians. I invite anyone with a sense of adventure to join me and go Over the Edge!”
