"For more than 60 years, the CNIB has been proud to call Wascana Park home, and to give Regina community members who are blind or partially sighted a welcoming space to learn, grow and reach their goals in life.
For the last decade, we've been working to rebuild our Wascana facility so that we can continue delivering services in the area, cost effectively and in a safe, accessible facility. This project would ensure that, as a charity, the CNIB can focus our limited resources on delivering more services directly to people with sight loss in our Regina community.
Today, we're proud to move forward with this project in close collaboration with the Provincial Capital Commission, our development partner, Brandt and the Regina community. At every stage of the process, we've diligently followed the requirements and procedures set out by the relevant authorities, and will be happy to continue doing so. We’re committed to keeping the community engaged and updated about this project as it moves through the remaining stages of the process."
CNIB has launched a project website, www.cnibinthepark.ca that will be updated on the project.
