TORONTO, August 4 – The CNIB Foundation, Canada's largest non-profit serving people with sight loss, has signed a new partnership agreement with IrisVision, global leader in digital vision technologies.

IrisVision’s visual assistive device allows users to access and amplify their limited sight. The wearable device is FDA registered, and helps users with a variety of eye conditions including age-related macular degeneration, Stargart disease, and glaucoma.

"IrisVision redefines possibilities for those living with vision impairment and aims to not only provide sight, but to connect people with their world,” says Ammad Khan, CEO of IrisVision. "We are proud to be partnering with the CNIB Foundation, an organization that supports Canadians with sight loss from coast to coast. We've had thousands of success stories in the United States and are looking forward to expanding our resources to the 1.5 million Canadians living with low vision.”

Through this partnership, people with sight loss across the country will have exclusive access to IrisVision’s products as soon as they launch through all of the CNIB Foundation's enterprises, including Shop CNIB, CNIB Frontier Accessibility and its affiliate organization, Vision Loss Rehabilitation Canada.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with IrisVision,” says Shane Silver, Vice President of Social Enterprise and Innovation at the CNIB Foundation. “Their commitment to providing a high-quality product and their support and dedication to the low vision community makes them extremely well-aligned with our mission and cause. This partnership means that we will be able to ensure that Canadians with sight loss continue to have access to the best products as soon as they need them.”

In addition, IrisVision will provide an in-depth training and support program for all CNIB Foundation and Vision Loss Rehabilitation Canada staff through a variety of in-person and remote platforms including webinars, in-person visits, phone support and internal education courses.
