Curious about how artificial intelligence can help you locate everyday items and better understand your surroundings? Join us for an interactive workshop exploring OOrion, an innovative accessibility app designed to help blind and low-vision users identify, locate, and navigate to objects using their smartphone or compatible smart glasses.
During this session, participants will learn about OOrion's key features, including object finding, scene awareness, custom object recognition, and hands-free use with smart glasses. We'll discuss practical use cases, share tips and tricks, and explore how OOrion compares to other popular accessibility tools such as Seeing AI and Be My Eyes.
Whether you're new to AI-powered accessibility tools or looking to expand your technology toolkit, this session offers a great opportunity to discover how OOrion can support greater independence in everyday life. No prior experience with the app is required.
Unleashing The Power of OOrion is a hybrid program that meets on Thursday, July 9 from 1 to 3 p.m. at CNIB Calgary (10 11A Street NE, Calgary) or virtually on Zoom.
Please be advised that you must register for all programs. We kindly ask you to RSVP a minimum of 1 full business day before the start of the program.
Registration required. To register, please contact Meaghan Hargrave, Program Lead, Accessible Technology Programs at meaghan.hargrave@cnib.ca or call 1-800-563-2642.
