The sun is shining, summer is in full swing, and the CNIB Repair Café Toronto has a new location! Please read below, as some of the event information has changed. Bring your summer gadgets back to life, freshen up your favourite jewelry, and don't forget those old white canes tucked away at the back of the closet. Whether it's a talking watch that needs a new battery, a handheld magnifier that needs attention, or a small household item ready for another season of use, our skilled volunteer fixers are here to help.
Join us for the CNIB Repair Café Toronto on Saturday, July 25 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the CNIB National Office (1929 Bayview, Toronto) Room 103. Door closes at 1 p.m.
What we fix:
Our team specializes in repairing accessibility devices and select household items, including:
- Refurbishing white canes
- Braillers
- Replacing batteries in talking watches
- Fixing handheld magnifiers
- Small sewing jobs
- Small household items such as kettles, coffee machines, and more

We encourage people to RSVP in advance to secure priority for repairs, although walk-ins are also welcome until 1 p.m., subject to availability. Priority is given to those who register in advance. Repairs are provided on a donation basis and are completed at your own risk. All participants must follow safety procedures and adhere to the Code of Conduct.
