Refresh Your Beloved Items at the CNIB Repair Café Toronto, in partnership with Repair Café Toronto and Canadian Council of the Blind, Toronto Visionaries Chapter! Join us for a day of community, accessibility, and sustainability as we come together to fix, mend, and rejuvenate our beloved items.
Join us for the CNIB Repair Café Toronto on Saturday, January 17 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the CNIB GTA Community Hub (1525 Yonge Street, Toronto).
As we begin 2026, we invite you to refresh and renew your beloved items at the CNIB Repair Café Toronto. If you have accessibility devices or everyday items that need a little care, our skilled volunteer fixers will do their best to help bring them back to working order.
What we fix:
Our team specializes in repairing accessibility devices and select household items, including:
- Refurbishing white canes
- Braillers
- Replacing batteries in talking watches
- Fixing handheld magnifiers and more
We encourage people to RSVP in advance to secure priority for repairs, although walk-ins are also welcome until 1 p.m., subject to availability. Priority is given to those who register in advance. Repairs are provided on a donation basis and are completed at your own risk. All participants must follow safety procedures and adhere to the Code of Conduct.
Wheel Trans users: Please keep in mind that Wheel Trans does not accept large item or bulk items on their vehicles.
Registration required. To register, please contact Dom Chan, Coach, CNIB SmartLife and Assistive Technology at dom.chan@cnib.ca or call 1-800-563-2642.
