CNIB is hitting the road to bring our innovative programs to life in your community! Meet the CNIB Mobile Hub – a program delivery model where we visit your community to deliver in-person programming at no cost to you.

We’d love for you to join us when we visit Salmon Arm, BC on Thursday, April 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Salmon Arm Rec Centre (2600 10th Ave. NE, Salmon Arm).

Drop in to meet CNIB staff and learn more about free programs and resources for people who are blind, Deafblind, or have low vision. Enjoy a day of recreational and social activities, technology workshops, and much more. Experience the latest breakthroughs in assistive tech from CNIB SmartLife and connect with other members of the sight loss community. Our free programs are designed to educate, entertain, and engage community members who are blind, as well as their families, friends, and caregivers. 

While registering for the Mobile Hub is strongly encouraged, walk-ins are also welcome. To register, please complete the CNIB Auto Registration Form or call 1-800-563-2642.

A community-based support group for Prince George residents that offers ongoing emotional adjustment to sight loss support. This peer support group meets every two weeks. The location alternates between in-person meetings at the Prince George & District Senior Citizens Activity Centre Society and online meetings on Tuesdays from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Pacific Time.

Music for Kids – Tuesday Session
Music Therapist Erin Koop hosts weekly sessions on Zoom for children across the country. These interactive sessions are filled with songs, stories, and more! Get ready to make some music!  This group runs on Zoom, every Tuesday from 2:30 to 3:15 p.m. Pacific Time.

Chair Yoga
Perfect for individuals with mobility issues or injuries, this class uses a sturdy chair to guide you through gentle movements, breath work, sitting meditation, and relaxation techniques. What you need: Comfortable clothing and a sturdy chair. Every Tuesday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time on Zoom.

Trivia
A virtual monthly program where participants are invited to come together once a month for a trivia night! there will be a variety of different trivia games played and it is all for fun, relaxation and entertainment! Trivia runs on Zoom on the fourth Tuesday of every month from 7 to 8 p.m. Newfoundland Time.

Tech Talk Tuesday
Join hosts Kevin and Brian for the widely popular – Tech Talk Tuesday. In these hour-long, weekly Zoom sessions we will discuss accessible technology as well as its practical application in everyday life. You don’t need to know a lot about technology: you can just listen if you like. The group consists of beginners as well as advanced users of accessible technology. All questions and ideas are welcomed. Every Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. Atlantic Time on Zoom.
