The CNIB Mobile Hub is visiting Brooks, Alberta on Monday, July 20 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Brooks Public Library (323 1 Street East, Brooks).
Join us for an interactive drop-in event where you can meet CNIB staff, discover free programs, services, and resources for people who are blind, Deafblind, or have low vision, explore accessible technology and advocacy resources, and connect with others in the sight loss community.

SmartLife Technology Demonstration: Experience Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses in Action
Have you been curious about the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses and how they can support people who are blind or have low vision? Join CNIB for an interactive demonstration to learn how these AI-powered smart glasses can assist with everyday tasks and enhance independence. This session is designed to give participants a practical look at the technology, with live demonstrations, real-world examples, and plenty of opportunities to ask questions.
During this approximately 1.5 hour presentation, we'll explore:
- What the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses are and how they work.
- Accessibility features available for people who are blind or have low vision.
- How Meta AI can help with tasks such as reading text, identifying objects, describing surroundings, answering questions, and more.
- Real-life examples of how people are using the glasses in their daily lives.
- Tips and best practices for getting the most out of the technology.
- An open question and answer period.
