CNIB is hitting the road to bring our innovative programs to life in your community! Meet the CNIB Mobile Hub – a new program delivery model where we visit your community to deliver in-person programming at no cost to you. 

We’d love for you to join us when we visit Bridgewater, Nova Scotia on Wednesday, February 25 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre (135 N Park Street, Bridgewater).

Join us at the CNIB Mobile Hub in Bridgewater for a day of connection, empowerment and community! Each Mobile Hub combines food, conversation, and a featured presentation. This time around we’ll be at the LCLC in the multipurpose room showcasing Steve MacInnes with demonstrations of Meta Glasses, the power of AI, and the latest Apple updates. 

We’re also bringing the SmartLife Centre on the road, selling accessible products ranging from white canes and magnifiers to advanced tech devices. Want something specific? Check out our website for products we sell  and call ahead to Steve at 902-403-1317 to be sure we’ll have it on hand. Refreshments will be served.

The Flip Side is a virtual group where participants experiencing vision loss can meet other members of the community and hear directly from them about their accomplishments and the barriers they have overcome in order to make those accomplishments. The Flip Side meets on the second Wednesday of every month from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Newfoundland Time on Zoom.

Share your knowledge with others in the group if you have experience, or learn a new skill from others. There will be some donated supplies available, or feel free to bring in a project or materials you may have. Accessible Technology Training – Thunder Bay
Thunder Bay
CNIB SmartLife Coach, Sara Salo, and technology volunteers are here to help participants get familiarized with SmartLife Assistive Technology, to assist with making smartphones and tablets more accessible and to recommend and offer demos on accessibility apps. Online training is also available upon request. Appointments are available Tuesday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at CNIB Thunder Bay.
