The CNIB Mobile Hub is visiting Medicine Hat, Alberta on Thursday, October 22 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Chinook Village in the Garden Lounge (2801-13 Ave. SE, Medicine Hat).
Join CNIB for an afternoon of learning, connection, and advocacy! The Medicine Hat Advocacy Mobile Hub brings together people who are blind, Deafblind, or have low vision to connect with resources, build self-advocacy skills, explore accessible technology, and engage in conversations about accessibility in their community.
The afternoon will include:
- CNIB programs, services, and opportunities
- Vision Loss Rehabilitation Canada (VLRC) services and supports
- An interactive self-advocacy session
- Hands-on accessible technology demonstrations
- A presentation and community conversation with Medicine Hat Transit about accessible public transit
- CNIB SmartLife on site with products and technology available to explore
Whether you are looking to learn more about available supports, strengthen your advocacy skills, discover accessible technology, or share your experiences with local transit, we hope you’ll join us for an engaging afternoon in Medicine Hat.
