This month, we’re pleased to welcome Milena Khazanavicius. Having moved to Halifax in 1994 and intending to live here for only one year, Milena lost her sight quite suddenly to Diabetic Retinopathy and has remained here ever since. in the beginning, her sight loss journey was extremely turbulent. Through twists and turns, Milena now finds herself living a life that is almost filled to the brim. Milena will share her wild adventures, silent moments, experimental endeavours, as well as her life of travelling with her guide dogs for the past 30 years. Milena believes that if there is not a chair at the table for you, bring your own and shove your way into the conversation! Come enjoy lunch, connect with others, and be inspired by a member of our community!
The CNIB Halifax Social meets on Thursday, June 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at CNIB Halifax.
