Algoma After Sight is a welcoming virtual and in-person peer support group designed for individuals living with sight loss in the Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma district.
Each session offers engaging and meaningful content including:
- Peer support from others with lived experience of sight loss • Inspiring guest speakers • Live demonstrations of assistive technology
- Practical tips and tricks for daily living
- Personal stories and experiences
- In-person connection opportunities
- Discussions based on topics suggested by group members
Whether you’re newly adjusting to vision loss or have been living with it for some time, Algoma After Sight provides a supportive space to connect, learn, and grow.
Algoma After Sight meets on the second Thursday of every month from 1 to 2 p.m. on Zoom. Zoom information will be shared after registering.
Please be advised that you must register for all programs. We kindly ask you to RSVP a minimum of 1 full business day before the start of the program.
