As of June 1, 2025, new provincial language requirements under Bill 96 will come into effect in Quebec. These regulations require all products and online services offered to Quebec residents to meet updated French-language standards.
At CNIB SmartLife we fully support this legislation and are actively working with our vendors—many of whom are international and some based in Quebec—to help them update their product packaging and information to be compliant.
However, because we do not manufacture the products ourselves, this process will take time. To ensure we meet the requirements of the law and avoid any unintended non-compliance, we have made the decision to temporarily pause online sales to Quebec residents beginning May 30, 2025. We will resume sales when we can guarantee full compliance.
