More Than Words

Jane Beaumont’s enduring commitment to literacy and giving

That’s why one clear belief has guided so much of her work: “Braille is literacy,” she says.

For more than two decades, Jane has put that belief into action. Through her leadership on CNIB’s board and as a driving force behind the creation of CELA (the Centre for Equitable Library Access), she’s been instrumental in making reading more accessible to people who are blind across the country.

Generosity, month after month

Jane’s contributions to CNIB have taken many forms, but supporting a cause you care about doesn’t always require a grand gesture. Sometimes, meaningful change begins with one dependable gift each month.

For Jane, monthly giving is a simple way to put her values into action alongside a community of CNIB donors who share her commitment to creating a more accessible world.

"You don’t have to make an extraordinary gift to have a meaningful impact,” says Jane. “A dependable gift each month, combined with the generosity of other donors, can help make lasting change possible.”

On behalf of everyone at CNIB, thank you, Jane, for your ongoing generosity and for helping build a future where everyone can connect with the world.
