Join us for a practical session on using Zoom on your desktop or laptop computer. Learn how to join meetings, use audio and video controls, navigate Zoom, and adjust basic settings. This session is suitable for beginners and anyone looking to build confidence using Zoom on a computer. Please bring your laptop if you're attending in-person.

Thursday, November 12 from 1 to 3 p.m. Mountain Time in person at CNIB Calgary on virtually via Zoom.

Please be advised that you must register for all programs. We kindly ask you to RSVP a minimum of 1 full business day before the start of the program. Space is limited for in person attendance. Register to save your seat.

Roundabout Testing in Partnership with Lakehead University
Thunder Bay
Researchers at Lakehead University are looking for participants to take part in a study exploring how to make roundabouts safer and more accessible for people who are blind or have low vision. As part of the study, sensors will be installed at the Edward Street roundabout. The sensors are designed to detect safe gaps in traffic flow, providing information that can help people who are blind or have low vision cross the intersection more safely.Due to problems with the technology controlling the sensors, the roundabout study has be rescheduled. Field testing will now take place on Thursday, September 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Over eight weeks, participants will explore topics such as planting, soil, pollinators, trees, harvesting, and more through a combination of interactive classroom discussions and outdoor gardening activities in CNIB Calgary's Fragrant Garden. Along the way, you'll build practical gardening skills, connect with nature, and enjoy learning alongside others in a welcoming and supportive environment. Every Thursday, over eight weeks, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at CNIB Calgary.
