Position Description

The Vision Mate Coordinator Assistant provides support to CNIB’s Manager of Programs to enhance our current recruitment, onboarding, and evaluation of Vision Mates.

Qualities, Skills and Training
  • Reaching out to third party organizations to recruit new volunteers
  • Researching and implementing low-cost promotion opportunities to recruit new Vision Mates in rural communities
  • Checking volunteer references
  • Contacting interested CNIB members and filling out the required paperwork
  • Completing Vision Mate evaluation calls twice a year
  • Interviewing Vision Mate pairs and writing stories about them for social media posts
