CNIB Wheels of Fortune Car Raffle and 50/50 Draw raises $69,000 for programs in British Columbia

NEW WESTMINSTER, BC, August 11, 2023 The CNIB Wheels of Fortune Car Raffle and 50/50 draw raised an estimated $69,000 in proceeds to help support vital programs and services offered by CNIB in British Columbia. The fundraising initiative, which took place over the last six months, saw an overwhelming response from supporters eager to claim the two prizes: A 1964 Mercury Comet Caliente Convertible and half of a 50/50 jackpot. 

“From technology training to children and youth groups, CNIB’s innovative programs are designed to educate, engage, and support participants who are blind or low vision across all areas of their lives,” said Shalon Morrison, Manager of Major Gifts & Philanthropy, CNIB. “On behalf of CNIB and the people we serve, I’d like to thank everyone who purchased tickets for the car raffle and 50/50 draw. Thank you for supporting CNIB and the programs we deliver in communities across the province.”

  • H. Edwards from Chilliwack, BC took home the 1964 Mercury Comet Caliente Convertible. Ticket #110672
  • F. Cougoulat from Victoria, BC won half the 50/50 jackpot, valued at $9,500. Ticket #242727
