After holding focus groups in Prince Edward Island, CNIB created this legal information handbook to provide helpful responses to some of the most common questions we heard.

In the handbook below, you’ll find: 

  • An overview of your most important legal rights related to  government and consumer services.
  • Answers to common questions like 
    • "Sometimes I’m asked by a business to provide a piece of valid, government-issued identification. I don't have a driver's license and I don’t want to carry around my passport. What can I do?"
    • "Can an employee or business owner ask me to show them official identification for my guide dog before serving me?"
