With generous funding from the Law Foundation of Saskatchewan, CNIB has developed Know Your Rights – Saskatchewan, a project that is designed to empower Saskatchewanians who are blind, partially sighted or Deafblind to better understand their rights, navigate the Saskatchewan legal system and self-advocate to challenge discrimination.
Know Your Rights – Saskatchewan is based upon an Ontario pilot project developed in 2019 and funded by the Law Foundation of Ontario. While based upon the Ontario pilot, great care has been taken (through focus groups and consultations) to ensure that Know Your Rights – Saskatchewan is specific to the barriers that Saskatchewanians who are blind, partially-sighted and Deafblind face on a day-to-day basis.
