How We Do It – a children’s television series for AMI/CityTV 

Bringing a child-friendly approach, How We Do It will explore different disabilities to teach young children confidence and celebrate their disability through live-action skits and animations. They are casting children ages 5-12 with all kinds of disabilities, to be guests on the show, where they will  answer questions and talk about their different abilities through fun activities and interviews with hosts: Alison Lang, who has a limb difference, and Donovan Whyte, who is a wheelchair user.

They are looking for children with either physical or intellectual different abilities, all ethnicities, cultures and genders – examples could be blind; deaf or hard of hearing, Paraplegia, Cerebral Palsy, limb difference, wheelchair user, Down syndrome, Autism and other invisible cognitive conditions. 

Filming in Regina approximately mid March to end of April, 2026. Those cast on the show will be paid and those outside of Regina will be paid travel expenses. 

If you are interested in having your child audition, please contact Brenda McCormick, casting director at brendamccormick@sasktel.net or call 306-539-7077 no later than noon on January 17, 2026.  Just express your interest and they will provide more information for your consideration. Will be selecting children to include in Zoom auditions which will take place Jan. 24-25; candidates will be contacted on Jan. 20-21 for an audition time.
