NB Public Libraries helping put technology in the hands of blind New Brunswickers

New Brunswickers can donate their old smartphones to help individuals who are blind or partially sighted – thanks to a partnership with New Brunswick Public Libraries, the CNIB Foundation New Brunswick and the Canadian Urban Libraries Council.

Big Brailler Bounce Initiative

The Big Brailler Bounce Initiative aims to ensure that any unused Perkins Braillewriters find their way into the hands of a blind child, adult, or senior who can benefit from the ability to write in braille! Since 2015, Braille Literacy Canada has been collecting unused Perkins Braillewriters, refurbishing them, and re-distributing them to those in need at no cost to any of the recipients.
