CNIB is producing a public service announcement (PSA) for National AccessAbility Week 2026, and we’re looking for community members to be part of it!
About the PSA
CNIB’s Changing Attitudes PSA aims to shift public perceptions of blindness and sight loss. Through the voices of our community, we’ll show how access unlocks agency. Whether it’s a guide dog, a refreshable braille display, a screen reader, or an intervenor, the tech, mobility aids, and supports we invest in make inclusion real. We’ll spotlight how these tools serve as gateways to creativity, leadership, and innovation, empowering people who are blind, Deafblind, or have low vision to live the lives they choose.
Who we’re looking for
We want the PSA to reflect the richness and diversity of the blind, Deafblind, and low vision community, including adults and youth; parents; and people from both urban and rural areas.
No acting experience required. Travel and hotel accommodations provided. Filming will place in Toronto in early January 2026.
How to apply
If you’d like to be considered, please email Ellery Geddes at ellery@cimoroni.com by Friday, November 28 with:
- Your age, location, and contact information
- A short bio
- A brief description of the tools or supports that make inclusion real for you, how they enable you to live the life you choose, and how you use them in your daily life
While we thank everyone for their submissions, please note that only selected candidates will be contacted.
