Children of all ages across the country are welcome to participate in our live reading series Read Aloud to Me. Join us as experienced volunteers give life to picture books, chapter books and short stories.
- Session 1: Every Tuesday, 7:00-7:30 p.m. EDT. After the Family Zoom Room, join us as Dora nominated actor M. John Kennedy reads a selection of stories to help wind down before bed. Look forward to tales like the Princess Bride and the Last Unicorn. Recommended for ages 7-11.
- Session 2: Every Wednesday, 7:00-7:30 p.m. EDT. Quiet down after the excitement of the Zoom Zoom Room while Auntie Jane reads from her collection of short stories. Some will be made up and some will be real and there may even be a few silly poems sprinkled in. Suggested for ages 6 and under and older non-verbal participants.
- Session 3: Every Thursday, 6:00-6:30 p.m. EDT. Get ready for epic tales of action and adventure! Our talented volunteer can’t wait to share these exciting stories with you. Make sure to come often, so you can have your say in what she reads next. Recommended for tweens and teens 11 and up.
Ages quoted for specific evenings are suggested based on the reading material being covered, but any age may take part and enjoy the experience.
