Smart technology for all!

Over the past decade, nothing has revolutionized the lives of people with sight loss like technology. Accessible features on mainstream technologies and cutting-edge assistive devices are being developed at breakneck speeds, and they’re levelling the playing field for people who are blind or partially sighted of all ages.

As a CNIB Connects partner, Lenovo is proud to provide deep discounts on their innovative computing technologies, accessories, security software, and services for the homes of CNIB Connects members. Lenovo’s exciting offers change frequently, so check their member benefits site often for great new deals.

What’s more, they’ve also made a commitment to take the journey to become more accessible for both customers and team members with sight loss.

Proud supporters of the CNIB community

This isn’t the first time Lenovo has stepped forward to help champion accessibility and inclusion for Canadians who are blind or partially sighted.

Lenovo was one of the very first companies to join CNIB’s Come to Work program, through which they’re able to connect with talented candidates with sight loss and welcome those candidates to join their employee team. They’ve also stepped up to provide mentoring and support for members of our Come to Work Talent Pool through presentations and recruitment training.

They were also among the first corporations in Canada to donate devices to CNIB’s Phone It Forward program, through which CNIB collects gently used smart devices, outfits them with a suite of accessible apps, and distributes them to people with sight loss – along with training on how to use their new devices with confidence. Lenovo’s donation was crucial to getting the Phone It Forward program off the ground, and we’ve since distributed thousands of smart devices to people with sight loss across Canada.

Lenovo was also a proud supporter of our most recent Connecting the Dots conference, which is focused on education, technology, and employment for people who are blind or partially sighted.
