Become a Guide Dog Champion!
Held every September, Guide Dog Access Awareness Month is a time to raise awareness about the rights of guide dog handlers, the legal responsibilities of businesses when providing service or access to a guide dog team, and to champion equal access for guide dog teams. Guide dogs and their handlers are allowed access to any premises to which the public would normally have access. It’s the law. Show your support for guide dog teams in your community and become a Guide Dog Champion!

CNIB Guide Dogs announces future home of Puppy Development Centre, unveils sign
(GEORGINA, ON – September 25, 2023) – Today, CNIB Guide Dogs unveiled the new site of its first-ever puppy development centre in the Town of Georgina.
Since launching in 2017, CNIB Guide Dogs has quickly become a leader in the guide dog community. As part of the program's expansion, CNIB Guide Dogs has purchased three acres of land in the Town of Georgina on Lake Simcoe, where they’ll build the Howard & Delores Beck Puppy Development Centre.

Resource Development Assistant, Accessible Technology
CNIB's Accessible Technology Program aims to support the technology needs of program participants. With the availability of a wide range of accessible technologies, people with sight loss can accomplish almost any task, provided they have the right device, and the right support! Through our continuous development of Accessible Technology resources, materials and curriculum, we are able to provide our participants with the information they need to use their accessible technology effectively. With our efforts of providing the best support possible, we are seeking volunteers to assist with research & development of a complete Accessible Technology resource kit.

CNIB's Accessible Technology Program aims to support the technology needs of program participants. Through our monthly Accessible Technology group program offerings, we provide a range of in-person & webinar-based workshops on a variety of technology-based topics. Some topics include accessibility features on smartphones, common social media apps, MS Word basics, and much more! With our efforts of providing the best support possible, we are seeking volunteers to assist with our monthly group program offerings.
