Things are looking up! Join me in '23 makes a stop in Burlington at Climbers Rock! Ever interested in trying indoor rock climbing – or interested in looking to get back on the wall? We have a limited number of spots for 20 climbers, this can include athletes with vision loss, and a sighted buddy, who can act as your guide, if you so choose. Or if you have someone who just wants to stay on the ground and act as your extra set of eyes to help you get off the wall, we encourage you to bring them as well. A strong understanding of these topics will allow you to effectively communicate the reasons why you are a good fit for the job you are applying to. These skills will be key in creating a resume and cover letter that will stand out from the crowd, and make a great first impression to potential employers. You can attract suitable opportunities with the appropriate techniques while eliminating bias and emotion from the selection process. The emergence of a new generation of candidates makes now an ideal time to refresh or learn interviewing skills. The purpose of this session is to provide you with practical strategies for preparing for and participating in job interviews, in addition to explaining how to determine the purpose of the interview, setting clear expectations up front, and asking practical questions. A support group for blind/partially sighted parents. From infancy to adulthood - blind mothers and fathers can learn, explore, and share their triumphs, challenges, tips and stories among peers in a supportive environment. The group meets twice monthly in order to accommodate busy schedules.
