Did you know June is Deafblind Awareness Month? We would love for you to join us at the Burlington Mobile Hub, to celebrate! It's going to be a fun day of learning, making new connections and enjoying complimentary refreshments, as we welcome guest speakers from CNIB, CNIB Deafblind Community Services, Vision Loss Rehabilitation Ontario and a special guest from Canadian Mental Health Services! A phone-based peer support group for people who are blind or partially sighted to learn from and connect to others who understand their experiences. Outburst is a fun game of lists. As a team (that you are assigned at the beginning of the evening), you’ll be given a top ten category (for example, “What kind of cars do movie stars drive?”). You will then have a set amount of time for your team to yell answers. You’ll get a point for everyone of the 10 answers your team gives. CNIB’s National LGBTQ+ youth group is an opportunity for LGBTQ+ identifying youth (ages 14-19) with sight loss to connect in a safe and supportive environment led by staff with lived experience. Join us as we explore intersectionality, learn from mentors, support each other and discuss common experiences and challenges of LGBTQ+ identifying youth with sight loss.

Throughout our careers in school or work, we may have the occasion where we need to create a presentation to present our work to an audience. Google Slides is a presentation tool similar to Microsoft PowerPoint. This session will focus on teaching participants the basics of Google Slides using screen magnification software.
