In response to requests for specialized information for parents of children from the ages of birth to six, we have created a new group called Parenting with Sight Loss – The Early Years. The group will focus on sharing useful information on child rearing, offering personal successes, and discussing best practices. It is intended to create a friendly community that will offer ongoing peer support. The Early Years will be facilitated by a group member experiencing vision loss who will function as a moderator and organizer.
Don’t forget to invite friends, family or acquaintances who would benefit. All are welcome and continuing to be part of the regular Parenting with Sight Loss will not preclude you from joining the Early Years version.
This group runs via Zoom web conference on the first Wednesday of the month from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time. Call in information will be given upon registration.
Please be advised that you must register for all programs. We kindly ask you to RSVP a minimum of 1 full business day before the start of the program.
Registration required. To register for this program, please contact Sharon Kanhai-Johnston, Program Lead, Social and Recreation Groups at Sharon.Kanhai-Johnston@cnib.ca or call 1-800-563-2642.
