For many people, adjusting to vision loss can be extremely challenging, and it’s common to feel scared and confused after you’ve been diagnosed with an eye condition.

But there is help available to you.

You’re an active partner in the management of your vision health, along with your health care team and CNIB, whose caring specialists deliver personalized rehabilitation services in communities across Canada, helping people with various types and levels of vision loss build the skills and confidence to lead full, active lives.

If you’re a caregiver or loved one of someone with vision loss, understanding what they’re going through is key. Your support will help them as they embark on this new journey and adjust to life with a loss of sight. CNIB provides a wealth of resources that you can use to educate yourself on AMD and living with vision loss. CNIB also offers support services tailored for family members and caregivers like you.
