AMD Week
September 23 to 29 is AMD Week, when AMD Alliance International (AMDAI) member organizations around the world mobilize to create awareness of age-related macular degeneration through media campaigns, public activities and community outreach.
AMD is the leading cause of vision loss in Canadians. While there is no cure, there are treatments and early detection can slow the degenerative process. To learn more, take The AMD Challenge at www.cnib.ca/challenge
The theme of AMD Week 2007 is “The Face of AMD,” covering in-depth stories and experiences of people from around the globe who are living with AMD. If you have a story to tell and would like to be part of this project, please contact christian.medy@amdalliance.org or call 416-486-2500, ext. 8364.
