Volunteering

By joining the CNIB volunteer Child hand on a book in brailleteam, you will help empower Canadians who are blind or partially sighted to have the confidence, skills and opportunities to fully participate in life.

Volunteer opportunities vary across the country, but all our volunteers are engaged in meaningful and rewarding work that meets the needs of their local community.

How do you want to be involved?
Think about how much time you can contribute, how long you are able to commit, and what kind of volunteer engagement is the best fit for your skills, experience, and passion.

 How you can help:

  • Provide administrative support
  • Work directly with people who are blind or partially sighted
  • Increase public awareness about CNIB and vision loss
  • Help raise money
  • Produce Braille or audio books at our national library in Toronto. Click here for more information on volunteering at the library.
  • Engage in leadership opportunities
You bring the passion! We’ll turn it into effective action.
