Splash: Celebrate Summer!
Kids who joined the 2011 TD Summer Reading Club through the CNIB Library, received an activity kit in the mail. The kit included:
Guide to Activities (in large print and audio - braille available on request)
Three audio books (DAISY format)
Book Lists (suggested reading)
Splash! swag: a treasure chest to build, tactile stickers and a very cool foldable, re-usable plastic bottle
Everyone who joined was randomly assigned to one of five teams for the Canada-wide ‘crew’ challenge.
They could earn points for prizes and take part in the crew challenge at the same time. How?
- Write book reports
- Keep a book log (list of books you read over the summer)
- Answer weekly Mystery Questions online, by email or phone
- Talk to other kids in our Chat Room
- Participate in public library activities
- Answer questions in our virtual Treasure Hunt
